I see that the Train and the River is getting another ride out on this afternoon's JRR. I guess we should be grateful for any Giuffre on the radio. I did once persuade them to play a different JG track a few years ago.

Back in the days when "The Train & The River" was thought uber-:cool2:, no one seemed to know how to pronounce Jimmy Giuffre's name. I remember one presenter pronouncing it "Guffrey" with a hard G - maybe - since everyone was starting to talk of "folk influences" - to rhyme with Guthrie.
