I prefer to keep all my virginals in the attic ... (To avoid my wife discovering them ...)

Just a reminder. Tonight at 7.00.

A live harpsichord and countertenor recital in the evening is as rare as an all organ recital. When did we last have a concert like this?

A splendid concert. Out of this world-ish. Thank you Radio3. More like this, please.

Not having checked this thread, and this concert being billed in RT as starting at 7.30, I switched on at 7 only to find I'd missed half of COTW on Szymanowsky, which I'd postponed from this morning, including the Rattle/BSO version of the Stabat Mater, which I'd very much wanted to hear & record.

Thanks Blooming blundering Corporation! :steam:

I am truly sorry that you missed CoW. I hope you’ll be able to catch it on Listen Again though it’s never the same.

Thanks for the commiseration, DS - I'm glad the concert was good, and for sure the version of the Szymanowsky I missed will get broadcast again sometime, and allow me to unRattle myself!

I too had my recorder ready for a 7.30 start so missed almost 30' Don't blame the BBC it was Radio Times that was at fault.

However, a great pleasure - almost enough to make me give up the 'cello & coax me back to my viol again - although at my age can't manage both !
