"America" - West Side Story
Dvorák - Symphony No. 9 From the New World
As for repeating, there have been quite a few but it seems to go off different directions in its context, unless it comes up before the connection moves on.
Bloch: America - an epic journey
If you allow repeats, the whole thread could be recycled infinitum. Surely it's time to say "Mornington Crescent".
I don't particularly mind the repeats as they usually come up in a different association to the previous time. I've been enjoying this game enormously; as someone else said, it's good for the grey matter! I don't know how the game is supposed to end but, just as a suggestion, maybe at some point (say, after a certain number of responses) we have to try to get back to the starting point (in this case Mahler's 2nd symphony) but show the connections along the way. I suppose that is a bit like 'Mornington Crescent'! Anyway, that's only a suggestion and maybe Brassbandmaestro, who started the game, has some thoughts.
Thanks for starting it, by the way, it's been great fun :ok:

Humble apologies - I didn't see your earlier posting.
Er, we've had that one before, and several others have appeared more than once. If you allow repeats, the whole thread could be recycled infinitum. Surely it's time to say "Mornington Crescent".
If the connection is made differently, then it's not a repeat, surely? If we get to the point where we're just recycling the same connections, then that would be repetition. And as pointed out by hercule, I'm not going to scroll through nearly 600 posts to see whether a particular piece has come up before!!
