....I have been timed out a couple of times on some complicated pieces about "The Verb" and had to start composing them all over again. Is there a way to save material as one goes along please?

Can you give some estimate of how long you think you were taking?

The timeout for a session is set at 60 minutes and I think that timeout applies to all procedures.

Another argument for composing a long post in Word, or equivalent, and pasting it into the post box when everything is checked and ready?

Or possibly for pointing out that there is a distinction between a forum and a blog, with a forum having shorter exchanges? Long posts are rather difficult to reply to adequately because they tend to have so many different points.

Yes, I should have at least been saving it in Word. I can bash out probably overly long contributions very quickly. The opinionated ones are a natural flow. The shorter programme reviews take longer because I remind myself of content with trips back to the I-player. This in itself involves contortions. And then there are the posts with a colour scheme that I like to get just right. I'd say about an hour or so for some and that takes in the occasional diversion - spotify, mugs of tea, writing my encyclopedia of life etc.
