Why back to 7pm for most concerts?

Sorry if this has been discussed and mulled over somewhere but..............what has happened to Plan A?

This week 20% of the live concerts (i.e. one) start at 7pm, the other four had 7:30pm starts. Of the four currently on display via the online schedule for next week, three have 7pm starts (one apparently being a late Lunchtime Concert :doh: ), and the other has a 7:30pm start. So, of the nine currently on show, the majority have/had 7:30 starts. Being live, I guess it all depends on when the concerts were scheduled to start when originally planned.

Yes, but do most concerts start that early? Apropos of nothing, on the continent concerts often start very late...at 8.30 or 9pm. Plays havoc with my digestion, especially when hosts insist on a full-blown meal afterwards.

Tuesday and Wednesday of next week both come from Wigmore Hall, which does tend to have 7:00pm starts. The June BBC Music Mag, however, gets the Wednesday start time wrong. The same mag. gives a 7:30 start time for each concert the following week.
