When you're typing a reply, DP, are you looking down at your keyboard, and just glancing up now and again to see if the message is what you thought you'd typed? If so, you might miss it.
If you're a touch typist, however, and gaze at the editor pane all the time while you're typing, about every minute you'll see a little (now cinnamon, was bright yellow) note flashing up in the bottom right hand corner of the pane, saying 'Auto-Saved' and then it disappears. hackneyvi is finding it very distracting ...![]()
OK. I managed to see it by typing four lines of gobbldegook while staring transfixed at the bottom right.
'ackney must 'ave the eyes of a 'awk if he sees that, let alone be distracted by it.![]()
One quirk I've noticed in the reply box is that a word at the end of a line in the reply box can get split (over to the next line). This can be rather annoying when editing. I don't remember this quirk being present in the software version prior to this one.

My only problem, which has always been like it, is the New Posts bit. On the left of the page black is okay, red is only top half of print. On the right of page, both red and black are only top of print.
I'm with Windows Internet Explorer. A very small problem really but odd.

If I'm understanding you correctly, sal, this could be to do with the size of your browser window. If you have a) a small computer screen or b) the browser window is too small (may need to be maximised) bits of the text run out of space.
My first thought (actually, it was my second!) is that, with your eyesight problem, you may have increased the size of your text and the browser window is not big enough to hold all the content. The outside frame of the window is the same size but you've increased the size of the content.
Everyone will get this same problem to a greater or lesser extent if, for example, someone has given their thread a very long title or if they have a very long username. The text gets truncated.
Somewhere back inthe mists of time FF I did enlarge the type, think it was when this forum started up. As I don'tknow what I'm doing [technically!] I shall leave it as it is rather than rock the boat. Thanks.
I am finding the search facility problematic. If I search for "Blu-ray" or "blu-ray" (without the quote marks) it finds no matches, despite there being many. However, if I instead search for "bluray" (without the quote, and without the hyphen) if finds those very instances of "Blu-ray". Could this strange anomaly be looked into, please?
Have been looking for an answer for about 40 minutes - so far no luck.
I will tackle vBulletin about it tomorrow, but from what I can see the only answer is to remove the hyphen. The search option is set to ignore words of fewer than four letters but I don't think it'll help to change that to three. It ought to find examples of Blu Ray (sans hyphen) but Blu-Ray is a six-letter word (!!!). Apparently ...
This may not make sense - I'm feeling very tired!
