i was enjoying this, but then got hung up on the meaning of 'sorority' ..... and 'fraternity', and greek alphabets apparently used by US colleges. it was of interest imo, in the context of the fact that these ways of finding a path, in order to identify opportunities to do some music are scarce, especially now. incredibly, hill was only 12 yrs old, yet there was a path there to follow!
then the current riots began, and everything seems to have merged into one knotty chewing gum.
still, some good jazz to sweep up the mess, might be this one, from steve lacy, with roy haynes's drums helping get into all those awkward corners:
i'm not sure what would happen if you did domestic chores to andrew hill ....?! maybe junko's playing might lend itself to a darn good sweep up though ..... due to her speedy tempo.
happily, lots more andrew hill links (off of links) still to discover ...so thanks again, calum da jazbo.
Hoovery nice! Now, what should I do with that dusty springfield?
