Re avatars: well, they are alrready enabled generally, as are signatures (not sure about the text under the avatar), so I can't see a reason, Russ, why you can't upload one. Your profile is showing them enabled for you personally too.

Thank you for your hard work in setting up this forum so quickly. I'm a long-time lurker at the Radio 3 messageboards and am disappointed by their needless demise. Looking on the bright side, I always thought the BBC's software was awful and this forum looks much better. Onwards and upwards!
