Me too, except I only have it on LP, so it has remained in the loft for years. Anyway, where Ebony Concerto is concerned, I'd rather listen to Gervaise de Peyer with the Dankworth Band (a certain Mr. Moore on the Joanna).

Treat yourself to the Cd, Nethers.

    A mere 61 p second hand.

In fact most Rattle discs seem to be going for a song ...

But that's an excessive £1.87 including p&p Alison. Way outside my budget.

What ? Surely not the contributions of Harvey and the wallbangers ?

Mahler: Das Lied von der Erde - Ferrier/Patzak/Walter . Through headphones for once and her singing in the finale is more remarkable every time I hear it and I have had this record for over 25 years.

Alec Wyton's 'Fanfare' played by Samuel Soria at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Los Angeles.

    Delos 3331. Highly recommended!

Beethoven Op 12 violin sonatas with Menuhin and Kempff. I really cannot recommend these recordings highly enough - they are so musical .

I hope you did not enjoy listening to Grand Pianola Music, Colonel. It's not considered quite proper, you know.
