Sad news although Whitby is a favourite spot. Just don't let it clash with their goth festivals. Tentatively, ie I'm not sure if I have thought this through, I would like to see winter festivals having 33% or more events outdoors. That includes Celtic Connections.
One of the Whitby festival goths worked to me. Pleasant chap, very bright and strangely quiet. I moved on quickly. Couldn't cope with being required to mark him down for having too much integrity.
well, here's some good news
The MusicPort Festival is back on - different dates (5-7 Oct), different location (Whitby - actually the same old place), different company, same organisers

some of these are pale shadows of former selves, or masquerading under an old name, some are regulars at this event, some are new and some are definitely worth seeing.
I'm away somewhere else - anyone planning to go? Joe? What do you know?
