Fair enough - I'm not especially well up in what amateur choral societies are performing. I was comparing the frequency of broadcasts, recordings and professional performances of Handel's operas with those of his oratorios. I should have made that clearer. I would love to be able to go to professional performances of the lesser known oratorios near to where I live but I have hardly noticed any, though in the last couple of years there have been seven Handel operas.
