I expect most people know why this forum was set up last Wednesday (was it?) at such short notice. It's been a great rush with so many new members all at once and we haven't had time yet to set up proper hosting arrangements.

Please don't feel out of things just because many of us seem like old friends (we are!) - we hope you will feel at home here soon. Could I ask people to keep an eye out for new arrivals and don't let their posts go ignored.

I will move (if I can remember how) vinteuil's 'Welcome' thread to this forum so that people can, if they wish, make their first post there and say hello.
