A repeat of the Brookmeyer Jazz Library would be a great idea

Also an obit from the L.A. Times with an additional focus on Bob Brookmeyer's later compositional contributions, etc.:

good news indeed Alyn thanks ...
"Society is indeed a contract. It is a partnership in all science; a partnership in all art; a partnership in every virtue, and in all perfection. As the ends of such a partnership cannot be obtained in many generations, it becomes a partnership not only between those who are living, but between those who are living, those who are dead, and those who are to be born.”

Thanks MarkG - for me it will be interesting to hear what Steve Kuhn sounded like back in 1961: I wasn't aware he had recorded as early as that time.

Keep an ear out for another bit of Brookmeyer on today's JRR.

    With Clark Terry this time.
