R3 Shakespeare plays permanently downloadable as podcasts
Can't see this referred to anywhere else, and have just found out about it.

For some reason there has been dead silence on the R3 Shakespeare productions. I've downloaded the first two podcasts, and shall do the same with tonight's.
I find enthusing about anything R3 does these days increasingly wearying, physically and mentally. I haven't listened to either of the first two productions, but I suppose I shall do eventually.

I didn't listen to Twelfth Night as I don't really care for any of WS' comedies. I might listen to R&J eventually if it is available as a podcast, and I'll definitely listen to The Tempest tonight or on LA during the week.
Agreed, though they did come up with some excellent chamber music concerts last week. Sadly, the stamp of the marketing man Davie seems to be on much of what they do.I find enthusing about anything R3 does these days increasingly wearying, physically and mentally.

Looks as if they're only available for a week, so you've missed Twelfth Night. I think it's still on LA ...

This was very good indeed. It reminded me how much of it I had forgotten since my school days! And while the humour is a little harsh at times, I was surprised that one of the farcical moments had me laughing out loud. It's on the I-Player for seven days.
