Certainly agree with you about TMS and I frequently actually do have the TMS commentary with the TV coverage. I seem to remember that as far as England matches are concerned the ECB signed a new exclusive agreement with Sky not so long ago , so no TV coverage on BBC as far as I am aware. Don't think the BBC have either the appetite or the money to cover cricket any more.

Did Titchmarsh really say what I thought I heard him say about sitting in a chair previously occupied by Viv Richards? Or was I imagining it? I was trying to negotiate traffic at the time!

Sky has the rights to England's home international matches until 2017. The BBC has the radio rights until 2019. (Incidentally, if you like tennis but don't like or want Sky, the good news is that the French Open will be on ITV 1 and ITV 4 for the next three years).

Very interesting days play in the 1st Test Match today, with an excellent fightback by the Windies leaving England with a tricky target to chase down on the last day tomorrow, especially with 2 back in the hutch ( albeit 1 of them a nightwatchman ) already. A couple of quick wickets for the Windies in the first hour tomorrow will make it very interesting indeed !

Still trying to figure out why they put Anderson in as nightwatchman (!) - I thought the idea was to be able to protect your wicket at the very least...

well perhaps Captain A Strauss was a tad discomfited by being out so quickly when he made the decision ....
