Same here Gordon! Had to pull myself off David Deutsch's lectures temporarily - got to earn a living!
Spent some time on Lecture 1, and correlating his terminology with Dirac's terminology - just happened to have a copy of Dirac's book on my bookshelf.
Stunning experiment in Lecture 2 with interference of single photons, showing remarkably how a photon "remembers" its other half. However he might have developed this to show two photon entanglement - at least i don't think he did.
Must go over lecture 3 again, and this time, no wavering of concentration - no getting up for a cup of coffee!
Lecture 4 - Schroedinger representation - thought that was the easy version of QM! At least I know now that if I exist in a parallel universe, i am not a lecturer in QM!
Eventually got someplace by surfing recent experimental papers - regretfully had to put David Deutsch to one side - I was getting depressed.

Pity as this one was just getting going! I learned a lot so thanks to all who have responded, especially VC who put me right on a couple of things!!
Might get a few chores done now!
