The almost 100 refers to one of the most successful sporting careers ever.
Donald Bradman's final batting average (first class, or just test matches, I'm not sure) was fractionally short of 100.
Sterndale Bennett was born in Sheffield, which is in the Don Valley.....
Exactly
As it took three of us to tease out the answers - who goes next?
Don it is
Don Gillis - Fun Symphony
Sterndale Bennett - born in Sheffield in the Don Valley
Don Bradman - career test average of 99.94 after being bowled for a duck in his final test.
Over to Ofcachap for an E
Thank you. I'll try to come up with an 'E' before bedtime, failing which I'll have one ready by, say, 09.00 tomorrow.
Which E links a few words from 'Hamlet', a dance in triple time and a film festival?
Anyone not familiar with my occasional modest attempts at question setting may appreciate the information that, while the link begins with E, the three linked items don't. The link beginning with E comprises an odd number of letters, contains one fewer vowel than it does consonants, and no letter is repeated.
