Sorry I'll place my ands more exactly in future - as Mercia has Nancy Galbraith and the P itself there is just one "composer" to go ......so move on without me when necessary....

Don't worry about it! Cloughie and I tease each other about tricky puzzles, which Mr C himself has been known to set....

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments

back from your walk already anton ?

well my Pennsylvania guess came from the same source as cloughie's #21622 I think
your Nancy Galbraith wrote Internal Combustion in 2001 and she was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

but I still don't know the Vanessa or Koln connections I'm afraid
                          anyone ?

Samuel Barber, born West Chester, Pennsylvania, opera Vanessa opus 32

Stockhausen went from Koln to Pennsylvania ?? - rather tenuous
