Hope it's okay to post this. Following a family bereavement, I'm not sure any of us are in the mood for La Traviata this coming Saturday, so I'm trying to see if I can find takers for some Amphitheatre tickets. They're all restricted-view, front-side or side amphi, scattered around the Amphitheatre, and something like £48 or £24 (I don't have exact details to hand). If anyone's interested, maybe send me a message privately?

The Jaho performances are near enough sold
out so if you return to the box office you’ll get your money back (minus admin fee) or get a credit note if they don’t sell. They will.
For those tempted having seen the rehearsal yesterday I can recommend it.

I very much admire Jaho, and always try to see her perform (unfortunately I couldn't make it to the Barbican concert performance of La Rondine).
I went to her masterclass with three Jette Parker scheme young artists on Tuesday, and she said she had decided her days of performing Violetta.were over. However, she caught covid (I think she said four times) and decided to sing the role again because of the effects of the malady - the impact of coughing and struggling to breathe etc.
On Friday I felt her engagement with the audience took a firm grip in the second act. By the third act, her portrayal of Violetta was very convincing - she is so committed dramatically and the voice supports that so well. At the end she took a call with the curtain opening to let her stand at the front of the stage - she was holding onto the edge of the fabric - I'm sure she was physically drained by the conclusion. A memorable performance, in all respects.
I wish I could get to a replay performance in the cinema,I would happily go again.
