Is the remastering a noticeable improvement on the BBC MM disc?
To be honest, I’ve not heard the actual discs yet, only the PRESTO download that I listen to on my ‘phone. The Sibelius is roughly the same as the studio performance but the Elgar has more urgency and direction than the slightly notorious Boult studio performance.

My copy has arrived today - a rather punchy note by Tully Potter dismissing her suggestion she was born in 1928 . Unfortunately, however, no discussion of any of the performances except the Elgar ‘s timings being briefly mentioned.

Fantastic! Please let us know your opinions. My copies arrived on Saturday, (one is a Christmas present), but I’m doing overtime at work so it’s going to be a couple of weeks until I can hear them properly.

I've had an on-off relationship with Tully Potter's wrings. He's immensely knowledgeable , it seems , but I feel uncomfortable about some of his opinions. For instance, I can't decide if he admires Yehudi Menuhin or has a chip on his shoulder about him.

He wrote a dreadful note for the Anja Thauer reissue of her DG recordings on Eloquence blithering about comparisons with du Pre rather than concentrating on the music and performances.

He wrote many scathing reviews in The Strad magazine back in the 1980’s & 90’s. Yes, he is extremely knowledgeable but there’s an edge of unpleasantness about some of his writing.

He takes the unuusal view that his later recordings were much better than those when he was a child prodigy . Skirting round the intonation issues rather,

I don't agree with him but I see his frustration with reviewers who seem to treat Menuhin as if he was finished after the war .

I must get round to listening to these recordings - rave review from Rob Cowan today about the Elgar and Britten and good about the Sibelius and Brahms

He went so far as to say this live Haendel/Boult Elgar would now be his top recommendation for a stereo version .
