Telemann Cantata - from Music Maps - Sunday 4th Jan

Yesterday there was a movement of a Telemann work - on the programme Music Maps.

see 'Recit accomp: "die stille Nacht umschloss den Kreis der Erden"'

I am trying to track down a score, and so far my searches at IMSLP have drawn a blank - most likely because I don't have the correct name or TWV number.

    Suggestions?

I fed in soloist, ensemble and composer and came up with this - see track 6. Is that the one?

Thanks both. It's the score I'm trying to find - and most likely it should be on IMSLP.

Is it TVWV 1:364 or TWV 1:364?

My attempts at searching are not finding it right now.

The good news is: there’s a set of parts here.

Georg Philipp Telemann. Ms. Ff. Mus. 921 - Cantata Der am Ölberg zagende Jesus : à basso solo, 2 violini, viola, violoncello é organo / di Melante. [Frankfurt am Main] : [Verlag nicht ermittelbar], [1741]

The other news is: it’s a facsimile of the original parts. How’s your French violin clef? And your old German cursive?

Thanks for the library pointer. Great - though it could be a faff getting it into a form I'd like to use. Some of the pages don't seem to have scanned well, and are almost illegible. There may be ways of enhancing the images to improve things for those.

The organ part - with the figured bass notation could be an interesting exercise.

[@Pulcinella] Is there a version from a recognised publisher - so that I could put in a request to inter library loans. I'm not sure that ILL or the British Library would be able to pick up this publisher's version - but I can try.

It would take me perhaps a month or two to make a version of the whole thing - doing perhaps 30 minutes per day. Could be an interesting exercise - though not one I'd want to embark upon lightly.

                The link shows

                Published by Noten Roehr (NR.100197).
So best to hunt them down and contact?
                Good luck.

Thing is, the earlier link shows that it’s a Facsimile-Ausgabe. So you might not get much more than what you can see at the library link I posted…
