Is there anything Anna Lapwood can’t turn her hand to? An inspiration to the younger generation in all things organ and choral.

Any chance of discovering who composed the responses and psalm chants, since I sincerely doubt they were written even by a cttee of "The Girl Choristers of Pembroke" ?
The chant used for Ps. 41 had a distinct Howard Goodall feel to it - 'no offence'! Appoggiaturas to the fore in both chants
Not your traditional drop in on your standard November evensong, what with spot the celebrity priest and to say nothing of the 'performed' 1st Lesson.

Lots of messages asking who wrote the psalm chants & responses - the girls wrote them collaboratively during our rehearsals! I try to incorporate composition regularly so they write our psalm chants every week, & we wrote the responses over the course of a term last year. Can you tell they love suspensions…?"

Celebrity priest he may have been, but I thought the spoken prayers were a highlight of this service. All too often now they are clunky and a sorry contrast to the beautifully performed high-quality music which preceded them.

Really enjoyed this distinctive service, perhaps especially the Wayne Marshall canticles and the organ playing throughout.
