Good that music in the liturgy has a broad appeal and that the individual appreciates it on many different levels helps to assure its future. A shame your father hated the Christian liturgy but without it the music he loved so much wouldn’t exist.

A very rewarding selection of music,and some beautiful singing. This was a memorable service.

What fantastic blend the adult sopranos and altos of the Consort achieved in their plainsong renditions! And how spiriting to hear that girl choristers were involved in this year’s Edington Festival for the very first time - the treble sound was excellent, and indistinguishable from that of a boys-only top line.

Methinks the English Choral Tradition is in very good hands. Bravo, Edders!
