    Reminder: at 15.00 today
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

A very enjoyable CE with beautiful sounds from the top line, ATB not always clear in the mix to my ears. The B minor canticles and anthem the highlights.
Wow, what a solo in the anthem! Beauty, control and expression in spades. Someone to follow if only we knew their name!

Lovely anthem, I thought. Hadn't heard it before. And well sung.

The soloist was Anna Chester, one of St Mary's girl choristers who won the BBC's Junior Chorister of the Year in December. Her performance in that contest has been broadcast on "Songs of Praise," and she opened the live TV broadcast of Midnight Mass from St Mary's on Christmas Eve, singing the first verse of "Once in royal David's city."

Thanks for the added footnote, SteamBach - St Mary's obviously very lucky to have her!

I saw the competition in December; a voice that I’m sure we’ll hear more of as Anna continues her singing career. St Mary’s a very fortunate congregation!
