A warm, enveloping sound from the choir, heard at its best in the lyrical Rutter anthem. Superb organ playing throughout, though often clouding out the choir; a fault in the engineering I feel. It sounded as though the announcer had been handed the info about the service as an urgent news flash; evidenced by struggling to pronounce Christus Vincit!

What a lovely anthem. I'd rather hear that clarinettist on Radio 3 than the over-praised one rhey have who keeps popping up .

I missed quite a bit of the introit on Wednesday as it seemed to have started a tad before 3pm and today, switching on for the repeat, again I missed a bit although all my time telling devices suggested that I shouldn't have. Perhaps I have got too used to the waffle that blurs the starting time of too many programmes these days?
