      Possibly?

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

        Well spotted, FF!

        P.S. On a pedantic note - is "t" a digit?

I was assuming letters and numerals as all to be defined as digits in a URL, but I do have to wonder if I was correct on that one.

Who knows, but some say yes - in hexadecimal where 0-9 are insufficient

Further along the menu options on 6Music, Gilles Peterson is doing a special programme on Roy Ayers, including old interviews and a full retrospective on his career.

This ‘Sunday Feature’(16/3/25) on Pauline Oliveros could be interesting:

An exploration of the work of composer and 'deep listening' pioneer, Pauline Oliveros.

A propos of precisely nothing on this thread other than its title, I have a wonderful memory of Stan Getz. Late '80s at the Royal Festival Hall, a quartet or quintet. During a solo by another member of the band he went to sit on a high chair at one side of the stage... and lit a cigarette. Cool, very cool.

His playing certainly did deepen at the end...

"In September, 1987, when Getz learned he would have to undergo surgery to remove a large growth in his chest and would be forced to skip the second annual Palo Alto Jazz Festival, the musician was as cool as he always seemed to be on stage.
“I feel no resentment that this has happened to me, because this has been an era of rejuvenation of my music,” the tenor saxophonist said. “I don’t think God is finished with me yet. He wants me here on Earth another 20 years, and I’m all for it.”

I really liked the intense Max Roach track. Not familiar with that record.

Agreed, and requested by Jamie Cullum!
Here’s ‘Mendacity’ from the same great album:

"Mendacity" is always appropriate! All those Max Roach dates, from Emarcy onwards are so neglected. Some magnificent playing from all. Some useful Avid CD collections available.

Amazing that Mendacity is even more relevant in 2025. That is a really great track.

Sad that it's still necessary - as capitalism's inability to solve its contradictions rears its ugly head yet again. No end to its deceptions.
