The rest of this year's Ring live from Bayreuth is on following nights over the week
There's also "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" on BR Fernsehen, but it probably needs a VPN / German location to view it...

Thanks for that AuntD, I've tried getting BR TV stuff before with no success...a shame as they have some interesting arts programming, including the Bayreuth perfs every year - don't forget it was BR who recorded the Boulez/Chereau Centenary Ring, which the BBC took, in, I think 1980......those were the days!Originally posted by AuntDaisy View PostThanks Roger.

Just rewound the Walküre, as I've been at a concert this afternoon.....the marvelous London Handel Players....a culture shock sitting down to an evening of Wagner...amazing live sound from Festspielhaus though, and good but variable cast.

I enjoyed last night's ARD Radiofestival 2025 - Tage Alter Musik in Herne.
Available for a week on BR Klassik.
ARD Radiofestival 2025. Konzert / Oper
Tage Alter Musik in Herne
B’Rock Orchestra
Leitung: Cecilia Bernardini
Solistinnen: Deborah Cachet, Sopran; Marianne Beate Kielland, Mezzosopran
Georg Friedrich Händel: "Armida abbandonata", HWV 105; Johann Sebastian Bach: Brandenburgisches Konzert Nr. 5 D-Dur, BWV 1050; "Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden", BWV 1083
Aufnahme vom 15. November 2024 im Kulturzentrum in Herne
Solist: Mahan Esfahani, Cembalo
Werke und originale Tastentranskriptionen von Girolamo Frescobaldi, Jean-Henri d’Anglebert und Johann Sebastian Bach
Aufnahme vom 17. November 2024 im Kulturzentrum in Herne

Yes, I listened to that too, and did you notice they have a repeat tonight of our excellent Le Consort Prom. but earlier at 1700. UK time.Originally posted by AuntDaisy View PostI enjoyed last night's ARD Radiofestival 2025 - Tage Alter Musik in Herne.

Also tonight is this from NPO Klassiek....a station I listen to more these days, despite the adverts at the begining - but not during - the concert.
Note that there's a follow-on concert after the Freiburgers with the arr. of Mozart's Requiem for four voices and string quartet...never heard this before.

Thanks Roger. I'll give them a go - the Requiem sounds interesting.
Just finishing last night's Ö1 "Alte Musik - neu interpretiert" Vox Luminis in Salzburg (with lively L' Arpeggiata fillers). Excellent concert, I really enjoyed it.
Alte Musik - neu interpretiert
Vox Luminis in Salzburg

Ensemble Vox Luminis, Leitung: Lionel Meunier.
Available for ~5 days.

Thanks for the link above....I do check on the Ö1 app occasionally, but there doesn't seem to be that much on (curious, for the main classical station of Vienna!!), so I tend to stick to BR Klassik, RBB 3 (excellent Berlin station), WDR3 (the aforementioned three often have the same evening concert, as you probably know....although BR alone did the entire Bayreuth festival), and NPO Klassiek - this last Dutch station has excellent engineering, but sometimes chaotic listing; often start times wrong etc.....and I don't much care for their new app.!....but their live concert sound is terrific.Originally posted by AuntDaisy View Post

I'm probably rather late to the party here, but do members know of this amazing site called Radio Garden? You can spin all over the world and find access to hundreds of stations, not just classical. My computer geek engineer showed it to me this week and I have been fascinated by the ease of use and the vast array of stations!

But try VRadio.....I used it this morning for YLE and BR Klassik....works a treat - with the penalty of the occasional advert (silent) between station changes, never during programmes.Originally posted by Cockney Sparrow View Post

A quick search indicates its a restriction imposed by Radio Garden itself.
I agree, individual foreign stations (sterling work has been done in this thread in this respect) will still be accessible, according to their own decisions.
A while ago Mrs CS was asked by a caller at the door if she was a regular radio listener (IIRC also whether that included music). She agreed to complete a survey of a week's listening - recorded in 15 minute segments. Not one for form filling, she handed over the task to me. COW, Live concerts, Wigmore Hall, Early Music Show, even Rec.Review featured in my listening, but mornings and afternoons, other times, featured YLE, Radio France Classic and the German classical channels. (Also the US WQXR).

As CS says, we can't use it in the UK Micky....but a question: does it give you BBC stations, incl. Radio 3?Originally posted by MickyD View PostI'm probably rather late to the party here, but do members know of this amazing site called Radio Garden? That's a real shame for everyone, it is such fun to use. Found some very lively South American and Greek stations with traditonal music. Just checked and the only BBC station available is World Service. So obviously the Beeb are clamping down again.Originally posted by Roger Webb View Post
