YLE, which people keep going on about, is fine but ultimately just a random playlist. There are hundreds of similar online stations. It has the drawback that announcements concerning what is playing are only partially comprehensible unless you are fluent in Finnish, and if you listen via a radio/streamer, as I do, it does not, unlike most online broadcasters (and indeed Radio 3) provide a 'now playing' readout. To get the playlist details enthusiastically and exhaustively quoted above you have to go onto a computer website which I cannot be bothered to do most of the time. You cannot really compare these playlist channels to stations like Radio Three or the German regional cultural channels which I listen to quite a lot, such as BR Klassik, which see it as part of their brief to include actual radio programmes not just non-stop music. Whether one enjoys or wants this talk programming is another matter. One is not obliged to listen.

The talks on BRKlassik are a reminder for me of what we no longer get on R3 - and my German isn't remotely near up to taking advantage of them either.
Ironically the criticism of YLE that you make, which I quite understand, isn't one that bothers me as in my tech desert situation the computer is the only way I can listen(albeit not very good sound quality) and so I can see the lists and, if I feel the need, opt to have the page translated.
