I do not fully grasp the technology involved here.........
You're lucky with the BBC at 320k....and MDR Klassik, which I said somewhere I listen to in rotation with WDR, NPO, RBB and, my favourite, BR Klassik. All the aforementioned come in at 256k or better....but MDR has disappeared from VTuner for some reason.

It's a bit of a lottery isn't it. I only understand the tech up to a point, but, in an age of generally easier and higher quality comms, it seems heads need to be knocked together!

BTW YLE is still available by the above methods.

I do not fully grasp the technology involved here. Our streamer doesn't seem to use a specific app like Vtuner, but has a built-in system for tuning to internet stations including a useful interface for searching and saving as presets. It does all and more than I could ever want it to, with inputs for DAB, FM, AUX, USB memory stick, Spotify, Local Music (phone), all remotely controllable via phone app - in fact exactly the same interface as on the Roberts 930i on my bedside table.

Agree. I also tried searching the station list for Finland and YLE not listed anywhere. When I have a bit of time to spare I might try to see if I can re-load or update the stations but maybe YLE have shifted to a different portal which is not supported by our devices.

Also about YLE, I have never found its URL, for use on a PC. Nor a webpage that lists what music is playing. Any suggestions?
Here is the webpage for YLE.

Yle Areena on Suomen monipuolisin suoratoistopalvelu. Sarjat, joista kaikki puhuvat, podcastit, joilla irtoat arjestasi ja suorat, jotka on pakko katsoa.

This page should show 'playing now', to get the whole show listing tap on the clarinet (it changes to piano later) in the square on the left, and scroll down to find 'show more' arrow and tapping it brings up the program details.

I don't use the portal you mention, but my streamer uses VTuner which has it, as does VRadio app. which I use fed from an android tablet to the USB A input to the DAC in my streamer, with excellent results.....and BTW, a useful function of the YLE page using the VRadio app. is that tapping the three little dot waterfall brings up, amongst the usual stuff a 'go to the webpage' option, in other words a 'shortcut' to the abovepage.

PS you may need to use google translate on the webpage!

BR Klassik is now my preferred morning listening between 9am and 11 (when the 'chunks' take over!), complete works by interesting composers, and in excellent sound, as the Bruckner is.

I heard Quilter's Three English Dances on BR-Klassik not long ago. Sort of fare used to be on R3 Matinée Musicale many moons ago...

This is MDR Klassik's webpage, as you see from it the Runnicles opening concert is available to 'listen again', but no mention of others.
