Yes you're right....I think someone asked about a film set in Bergues, Nord, mentioned when the Tour de France went through the town - I happened to have the DVD of it.

I'm grumbling because the Grumble thread is not being used for grumbles.

Same with my iPhone update: ~ Why? It's no better.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Would a complaint about a well-known streaming service be an Apple Grumble?

Similar complaint with Mrs G's iPhone.
Following an update all images have been converted to HEIC. On transferring them to PC with Windows software they cannot be opened.

Edit: I am aware conversion software is available, but can it be trusted?

Sorry about that............I've put some grumbles on the 'Film' thread to put the world back into equilibrium.

Because if they didn't keep thinking of updates they'd all be out of a job.

I ordered something on ebay (yes, I know).
I received an email from Evri saying they'd got my parcel.
I despaired. (I know, I know--- Why didn't I check with the seller which courier he used?)
I received another email saying they'd deliver it between 19:00 and 21:00 (can't these people get up in the morning?)
I waited (but without holding my breath). Nobody came.
I received another email "sorry we missed you"
The next day I received another email saying they'd deliver it between 20:00 and 21:00.

The postman never has trouble finding me.
Why oh why do sellers use these micky mouse couriers!!!!!!
                              yes, I know, they're cheap.

I know Evri has a bad reputation, but in my area at least they are paragons of virtue in comparison to DHL.

Last Friday evening I was waiting for a package to be delivered by DHL when I received an email from them claiming the delivery had been completed. On checking the tracking details online I discovered they had delivered my package to a house in the street next to mine.

I immediately went there to see if I could pick it up, but the householder told me he had refused to accept the delivery as it wasn't for him and the DHL driver had taken the package away with him.

I tried to contact DHL, but they have recently removed all the means of raising a query from their website.

Despite the fact that the package had clearly not been delivered, for the next 4 days their website continued to claim that it had been delivered. On Tuesday evening I finally received an email from them stating they had a package for me and would deliver soon. All records of their failed delivery had been expunged from the website.

On Wednesday I was told it was out for delivery. As I was going to be out for most of the day, I asked for the delivery to be rearranged for today, which they confirmed by email and on their website.

I checked their website this morning to see when I should expect the delivery to arrive today, only to discover that they have now returned the package to the seller. Of course, they didn't bother to communicate this to me, so I am now having to arrange for a replacement package to be sent (not by DHL).

This is the fourth time that DHL have delivered a package of mine to the wrong address. Every other delivery company manages to find my house without fail.
"I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."
