This one - although I don't know that the headstone is that impressive so perhaps not.

I got caught out good and proper this morning when asked 'What English word has t at the beginning, t at the end and t in the middle'?
      (It's a very common 6-letter word).

... when I first encountered the riddle it was in the slightly easier form

"what word has t at the beginning, t at the end and has t in it"

          .

Only one of these has tea in the middle.

Yes, but it doesn't have 6 letters (cf . post 4742).

Ah...as that was an edit, I thought it was a hint to a solution.

And in a Pedants' Paradise vein, the WORD doesn't have t in the middle, but the object (the teapot) might.

Correct, L. It has only two letters.

Ah yes - 'Transmogrification is a very long word - how do you spell it?'
Congratulations to Aunt Daisy for brewing up the correct answer.. This is probably one of those 'tea'sers which works better when it's spoken rather than written.

... and linguistic philosophers will recognize that this puzzle hinges on the distinction between the 'signifier' (the word, and the letter T which it contains) and the 'signified' (the thing, and the TEA which it contains)

( ... as Pulcinella has already pointed out in # 4749 above )

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
