Well ,now I can't find EH's 'list' at all - I think it's what came up when I clicked on the last post.

I don’t remember doing a list of Brendel concerts which might help matters . Come to think of it I’m not sure I ever saw him live. I must have done at a Prom or but can’t remember. I don’t go to many live piano recitals because the South Bank / Barbican venues are terrible Piano acoustics and the last recital I went to at the Wigmore Hall was ear shatteringly loud. I mean painful . Boris Giltburg playing as if he was powering the National Grid.

I’d rather go to a smaller venue and hear a smaller Steinway, Blüthner , Bosendorfer etc than a full size model D which in most solo piano music is an assault on the tympanum ….
