    Sending Photos on Android

    Has something changed recently?

I've been sending photos by text attachment on my Android phone for some time but this facility seems to have mysteriously disappeared.

Does anyone know why it's no longer available?

Do you mean sending via email? That will depend on which email program you use perhaps?

No, email is fine. All of a sudden I'm unable to send photos phone to phone. I'm wondering if a problem at the other end might be the issue?

I do that using WhatsApp where it is free.
It often costs more if you send images as SMS messages (called MMS)

I can add a photo to an SMS (text) message on my Android phone. I go to Gallery select the photo > click share > click message and the photo is then attached ready to send. The text message is changed to a multimedia message. Be aware that these are not included in many phone packages and will incur an additional cost on your phone bill [55 pence on my provider].

Edit: I think the recipient may also have to pay an additional fee.

I got my brother to send the image by WhatsApp in the end. I did ask for an email address to send it to but I didn't get a response. Why people can't reply to text messages is a different problem.
