David Olusoga/Barack Obama interview Weds 18 Nov BBC1

Tonight at 7.30pm, in place of the Panorama listed in Radio Times

I'm surprised the BBC has not trailed this more.

It's a cunning plan! Original programme likely to draw a large audience, don't put them off in advance, some might stay to watch the replacement...

        Nice bit of publicity.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

I believe Radio 4 is broadcasting an extended version of this excellent interview.

The Radio 4 version is scheduled to start after the 09:00 News and end at 09:30. The televison version is timed as 29 minutes, so I would expect then to be pretty much identical in audio content.

I guess I must have misheard the announcement at the end of the programme....

No I heard that too. The tv had some non-interview time, some of it him reading several excerpts from the book. So the radio version may be more interview per se.

Also wondering if there was a lack of clarity in the announcemenr: a podcast was mentioned, which could be longer.

BTW it's Barack - but I can't edit this thread.
