O'Neill: Long Day's Journey into Night.

Eugene O'Neill's drama about one devastating day in the lives of the Tyrone family.

Worth every painfully observant, brilliantly written and finely acted minute.
Fine show from all, partic Robert Glenister.

Now THAT's what R3 is about.

We need to pay attention to this work. Looking at the description you can see a very intriguing plot.

This is a play that cannot survive a production that is less than great. In an average production, it’ll come across as a very average play. I’ve not (quite) seen a bad production of it, but I’d imagine one of those would be pretty unendurable.

The recent-ish West End production was excellent, particularly Lesley Manville and the two actors playing the brothers. Jeremy Irons was good but he was a bit, well, ‘Jeremy Irons’.
