Thomas Hardy and TS Eliot programmes on Sky Arts

    Tues 30 November
7pm - Thomas Hardy: Fate. Exclusion and tragedy

A look at the author's complex personal life.

8pm - TS Eliot: the Search for Happiness
The story of the highs and lows in the life of the poet.

Not the Brigitte Bardot definition of Happiness, mind!

Alas I was at a rehearsal last evening. I wish I could get this programme on the internet, but alas we have tried Sky Arts catch-up in the past...and failed.
Any hints? Do we have to 'subscribe' to something?

I was kind of disappointed in both of the items - a lot of umming and erring and superficial comments by academics brought on, who largely concentrated on both authors' troubled relations with women, and just a voicover on the closing credits explaining Hardy's importance beyond what had been covered in the rest of the documentary, which as I say, wasn't that much. 5 out of 10 for each.

As far as I can see one does have to subscribe to Sky Arts to access any repeats of their programmes.
