I'd just like to say that the programme we've just heard on Picasso is exactly the level of programming i have always loved from R3. In just half an hour, we were taken on a little journey (without the programme having to declare itself as a 'journey into the mind of a genius' or some such) which was a joy to listen to and learn from. And pundited by someone who obviously an expert in his field.

So there's hope yet.

Very odd bit last night on Front Row [R4] in which ref Picassoa nd Brit artists, ML wheeled around AS Byatt [ why???] to say very little about Picasso while HE did all the astute crits. Was she on just because she's a name? She said nothing worth listening to at all. Most peculiar.
