A wonderful play on R4 this afternoon - worth catching if you missed it, Early Belt and the Present by Richard Pitt with extra bits from a certain Bert Coules. Funny, mysterious and melodramatic by turns, it left me wanting more - which is more than I'd usually say for the R4 afternoon plays.

A belated recommendation from me as well (I missed this thread here somehow), although I've recommended this on the R4 spinoff forum a few days ago (which has got off to a rocky start, but that's another matter). The play was the best of the bunch of last week's R4 Afternoon Plays by a long chalk.
