Adaptations, arrangements and reinterpretations

Three of my favourite film adaptations/arrangements/reinterpretations are of the same work, Shakespeare's The Tempest, i.e. Wicox's Forbidden Planet, Greenaway's Prospero's Books, and Jarman's The Tempest. All three are true classic versions, as far as I am concerned.

Returning again to Prospero's Books this afternoon. The DVD quality is pretty good. I doubt a Blu-ray release would improve the video aspect much, thought the audio should gain from losing the Dolby Digital stereo in favour of LPCM. It's ironic how some Amazon customer reviewers bemoan the failure of the available Spanish release to default to English. How difficult can it be to work out that the "Idiomas" button in the opening menu leads to choice of language for audio and subtitles?
