Terry Riley - World première organ concerto at LA Philharmonic

For those of us who have listened to everything since IN C, Sunday's LA Phil concert with Cameron Carpenter performing At The Royal Majestic on the Disney Hall organ, was a real streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch!

    (review)

Organist Cameron Carpenter takes the lead in a wildly ambitious program featuring a new concerto by Terry Riley and much more at the Minimalist Jukebox Festival.

Any idea whether this was broadcast/recorded, and if so, how we might access such?

[Ah, I see the BBCCO are to perform the UK premier in October.]

I had it in my head that Terry Riley was a harmonica player ........ but that's Tommy Reilly

Thanks for that, Charles. I note that the latest concert may be listened to on demand as a 128kbps joint stereo mp3. Do you perhaps know whether a higher resolution is used for the 'real time' transmission?

I have e-mailed KUSC with that inquiry, Bryn. Will let you know.

              Cheers.

                Bryn:

                Dear Charles,

Thanks for both writing in & sending that over the pond to our UK friends.

Unfortunately, our audio is capped at 128 & won’t stream any higher, even for the LA Phil.

                Best,
