I’ve listened to the Etudes twice now.
The closest parallel is Pollini classic account on DG. Very different from Beatrice Rana, whose Etudes I recently purchased.
I have to say that in a few of the Op.25 Preludes the emphasis is more on velocity than musicality.
Still, an impressive achievement

No wonder he has a hand strain if he is practising 14 hours a day !

If he is that is way over the top. Rachmaninov did a max of six hours and that’s plenty, If he continues like that his career will be a short one.
