    Afternoon Concert - Znaider/Halle/Elder from 2010

    Nice to see this concert on R3 in the afternoon, with the Elgar Violin Concerto and Vaughan Williams 2nd Symphony. But is it my imagination, or is this actually in mono??

    Eh? Was the broadcast of Il Corsaro canceled?

    [Ah, you are referring to the broadcast on May 7th. The version via Sounds was indeed in mono. Whether the broadcast suffered a similar fate, I do not know.]

          The BBC thing which lets you listen again to programmes via their website for up to a certain period of time after broadcast! Whatever it is called, it - the invention - is one of the true marvels of the internet age.

            It was also an evening concert, not an afternoon one, https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000hx6t

            [To be more precise, it's dual-channel mono, both left and right channels carrying identical content. It gets reported as stereo but it is not.]
