    Ravel Day

How much music did Ravel publish? Won't every note he wrote have been played by about 11 o'clock in the morning?

Alternatively, we'll have had 20 consecutive performances of "Bolero".

Well I love Ravel, and Bolero too!

Miles Davis and Stravinsky weren't exactly prolific (relatively speaking), but it doesn't mean that their music isn't great.

Well, here's the entire schedule (in outline).

As suspected, it's the usual programme schedule with Ravel shoe-horned into each slot; except that CotW is replaced by music by Ravel. Not sure if there will be a brainteaser on EC (though there is an appropriate guest); but I'm going to try 'Ravel' as the answer.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Both The Verb and World on 3 are also replaced by Ravel, ff.

I'm sure that improves it no end, in your view.

The first hour and 45 minutes of TTN are also devoted to Ravel. I see on Breakfast Petroc asks: Email Breakfast with your Ravel requests I wonder if that will throw up some little heard pieces?

Would anyone notice if they did? Anyway, you've forgotten the repeats VC!!

The string quartet is really worth a listen though - they can repeat that if they want.

If so, it'll be an easy one to un-Ravel!

do we know how many D and C each had to keep an eye on then?

Who's going to be brave enough to send in their recollections of the once well-known shoe shops?
