Doubt mine cost more than a penny a pop from auctions: years previously bought quite a lot from a London shop (one of the 'dealer's ring' - as opposed to Herr Wagner's efforts):- the seller would've got a penny each - yet the quantity disposed-of would originally have bought a decent house.. (most 12inchers cost 6 shillings: then virtually doubled by W.W.II Purchase Tax).

You need the (much) older stuff - then Mr.Getty would've turned-up on your doorstep..

It would cost nothing to list on eBay - try 99p start for the lot - and 'strictly collection only'...as some 'chancer' has Walkure Act One listed @£199.99 (191496264115)

Thanks for that, but surely it would cost something to list them on eBay?

Doubt it - regularly see "get 20 free listings" a month when logging-in - just ensure that you won't pay for them being sold! - eBay/Paypal fees are 15% or so (?? - but have never sold there)

You're quite right. Listing something is free, it's only if the something sells that they start to want money. So the ad is now up .

          Thanks.

If they sell for a penny you may well lose-out - that's why I said '99pee' - as am aware (when buying superb LP box-sets for 99pee + £2.80 p/p) - that the seller gets clobbered for the % charge of the total - so gets around 10pee/LP..
Anyways - it's not as though you'd never sold there!

The 78s did sell on eBay, though not, as predicted, for very much. They were bought by a pleasant collector who was keen enough to make a 260 mile round trip to pick them up. It's pleasing that they've gone to someone who will appreciate and enjoy them.

Thanks to all for the comments and advice.
