Sorry to be so picky when you have been so generous with your Beethoven quartet expertise but here you must mean LSO Live! Sadly Sir Colin hadn't conducted the LPO for decades but they did dedicate their concert on Saturday last to him! L

Yes, Flay, I did. Thank you for asking. A stressful morning spent hunched over the laptop hitting refresh, then joining the queue around 5,000. 1 hour 45 minutes and two mugs of coffee later, I emerged from the jungle, pith helmet unsullied, clutching 1 x Tristan und Isolde and 2 x Mahler 2. How did you fare?

Actualy I didn't go for any. It's to be a busy summer so I intend to take my chances with promming as I've not done that before - if I get a chance to get down south with time to spare, that is. We shall see...

Having inspected said emporium I notice that the only visible part of the proprietor is his helmet.

I felt sure this would pull the punters in. Alas, not a one.

However, I expect M. Vinteuil won't be able resist the bargain that is the Well-tempered Hewitt in Books I and 2 for much longer...
