    RIP Michael Ponti

I've heard elsewhere that the pianist Michael Ponti has died, he was 84.
He was partially paralysed following a stroke in the 1990s and lost the use of his right hand and so hadn't recorded anything for quite a while.
I intend to play some of his recordings as a memorium over the next few days
    Best regards,
    Jonathan

He will be best remembered for recordings of obscure concerti and solo works by less well-known composers for Vox/ Turnabout, so very likely NLA (I stand correctable on this). Although American by birth, he spent much of his life in Germany and was last heard of in a care home there.
