There was a very cursory discussion of the issue. Didn't gain much insight, apart from the point about women having more of the melody. Is 'The Choir' always this superficial? - it's not a programme I normally listen to.
Having said that, the music was most enjoyable. The Gavin Bryars piece grew on me, though more the piano writing than the choral contributions which I felt added little. And the Wagner was wonderful - beautifully sung and articulated.Comment
