In the past, CE was occasionally broadcast (live!) from parish churches with a good choral tradition, Anyone heard of St James' Grimsby lately? It was one such.

The Archive of Recorded Church Music has a large collection of Parish Church broadcasts, such as Warwick, Grimsby, Ashbourne, St Barts & St George Belfast, Boston, Croydon, Hampstead, Northampton, Swansea, and its good to see Warwick broadcasting again.

I think the O&C post at Leeds Parish Church (now re-named Leeds MINSTER along with other well-known churches, eg Croydon) was considered as almost cathedral status. Simon Lindley was there for ages IIRC.

For those listening later - there were technical problems which delayed the start of this CE.

Very enjoyable, like going to church without the early start. May peace be with you all

Yes, one could understand that if it had been a live transmission....but a recording? Not much excuse really. But it didn't really matter, I suppose.
Going off topic, the number of interviews done by phone (e.g. on news programmes) which go wrong really seems odd in this hi-tech age.

I thought this was tremendous: thank you, all at SMW! A very impressive standard in one of the country's most impressive parish churches: the Dove and Whitlock were, for me, particular highlights.
