    How to pronounce ‘Métaboles’ properly

I’ve been binging on Dutilleux of late and it’s bugging me that I don’t know how to pronounce Métaboles correctly.

    Could someone help me?

      Thanks!

With no emphasis on any of the vowels?

Exactly… three equal stresses, like a triplet figure in music

But I don’t agree with any sort of ‘r’ sound in the central syllable… it’s “meht - a - boll”
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I think it’s AR = AH in English.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
