    Sartorial Etiquette

In the photo on this link, are the arms of the jacket too short?

Former UK prime minister Tony Blair tells the BBC the collapse of the euro would be "catastrophic" and said Europe must get behind it.

Yes - but Tony Blair was always too big for his boots

I think when wearing "kissing" cuffs and cufflinks the sleeve of the jacket won't go over the cuff (plus of course one wants to show off one's expensive cufflinks)

Perhaps the arms are too long...

If you go back to the original link, the Beeb have changed the photo. I must have inadvertently hit on a raw nerve. A bit like saying in Russia that Putin hasn't got biceps or in France that Sarkozy has erectile dysfunction......sorry but the clip still shows it as Man at C and A. Marr's been to the same shop but he's got funny arms anyway.

That is quite correct. Bliar has always been anything but 'armless.

                  I'll get me (longsleeved) coat.

Cufflinks are items of male jewelry that are used in dressy shirts instead of buttons on the sleeves. Men wear usually cufflinks...

A male preening gesture, whereby a man wearing a suit extends both his arms rapidly outwards (i.e. shoot), so that his dress shirt sleeves extend nicely beyond his suit sleeves.

A couple of helpful links. I'm not a body language expert but I've always been fascinated by TB's signature gesture - elbows spread, followed by compressing gesture, spread fingertips meeting.

I hear they only gave him the job because he has a shiny car ! (makes folk take him more seriously I am reliably told !)

So now we have it from Richard T. Blah was "shooting his cuffs".
